Pet of the Week: Buddy
This is Buddy, he’s an 8-year-old Burmese mountain dog mix who’s looking for his forever home.
He’s great with kids, other dogs, and cats, according to Carolyn Sears, founder of local animal rescue Rest Easy My Friend.
Buddy’s super friendly, Sears said, and is really laid-back.
“It’s in his name,” she continued. “He’s a buddy to all.”
Buddy has only had two owners. His original owner passed away some time ago and a different family had agreed to take care of him.
He was surrendered to Rest Easy My Friend because he moved to slow to keep up with the family’s other pets, Sears said.
At 8 years old, Buddy is getting on in years, but aside from having weak rear legs, he is in perfect health.
Buddy is neutered, and will be current on all his shots before the end of the month, said Sears.
Anyone looking to adopt Buddy should contact Sears at (307) 363- 3420. Before adopting him, however, Sears would like families to bring any of their current pets, if they have any, just to make sure Buddy and them get along.
