Darren Lynde, former party chair, compared the election of officers to the wrestle-offs he participated in junior high, reminding those present, that no matter who was elected, they are all still on the same team.
Lynde took over running the central committee meeting of the Campbell County Republican Party Saturday, March 23, as nominations were made for the position of chairman, including current chair Vicki Kissack and Allison Gee, the only other nomination.
Including proxy votes, 108 precinct committee people turned out to cast their ballots. The public was also invited, although only precinct people were allowed to participate.
In the end, Vicki Kissack was elected chairman and Ed Rebich was elected vice chairman. Janet Mader was once again elected state committeewoman, and David Horning was re-elected as state committeeman.
The Campbell County Democratic Party held their reorganization meeting March 4.
Justin Schuff was elected vice chairman and is currently acting as chairman until one can be elected. Jamie Hurich was elected secretary, Theresa Miller was selected as treasurer, and Lynne Huskinson will serve as state committeewoman with Billy Montgomery serving as state committeeman.
