Third VOA Escapee Arrested, Two on the Loose
A third escapee from an adult community corrections program has been apprehended, though two others remain at large.
Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds advised that Duane Christianson, 32, was reported missing by the VOA after he failed to return from a doctor’s appointment March 14.
Police Lt. Brent Wasson said that officers located Christianson at 8:12 p.m. last night, after receiving a report of a suspicious individual peering into vehicles near the Hampton Inn on Decker Court.
Christianson was taken into custody and transported to the Campbell County Detention Center.
Reynolds advised that Christianson is believed to have met with two other males, 34-year-old Bradley Young and 27-year-old Tanner Kupec, both of whom allegedly escaped from the VOA during Winter Storm Ulmer.
Young went on the lam after he was transported to Campbell Health by VOA staff around 6:45 a.m. March 13 for a medical condition. He never checked into the ER or the walk-in clinic, according to Sheriff Scott Matheny.
Kupec was reported as an escapee at 8:30 p.m. that same day, after he failed to return to the VOA after work.
It is currently believed that Kupec and Young are together, but the whereabouts of both men remains unknown.
Young is a 6-foot-a white male with black hair and hazel eyes. Kupec is a 6-foot-3 white male with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who has seen either of these men or has knowledge of their whereabouts is urged to contact the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office at (307) 682-7271.
