Spring Fever Comes Early to Gillette Schools
A 32-year-old female was issued a trespass notice not to return to Twin Spruce Junior High yesterday, Jan. 30, after she yelled profanity at the school nurse.
According to Gillette Police Lt. Brent Wasson, the female arrived at the school shortly after noon to talk to the nurse about her 14-year-old daughter when the incident occurred.
No additional details were reported to police.
Later that same day, school resource officers and staff responded to Thunder Basin High School around 2:30 p.m. to investigate a report of four juvenile males, who had been consuming alcohol during lunch.
Wasson said police contacted two 15-year-olds and two 16-year-olds and ended up citing two of the juveniles, one 15 and one 16, for minor in consumption. The other 15-year-old was also cited for a tobacco violation after admitting he had a vape-pen in his possession.
A short time later, a 15-year-old male was arrested at Campbell County High School at the request of juvenile probation. According to the report, the teen had removed the ankle monitor device he was required to have under the terms of his probation.
