Lodge Grass Man Arrested For Shooting Deer Without A License
A 35-year-old Lodge Grass man is free on $10,000 bail after Wyoming Game and Fish Official arrested him for allegedly shooting a deer without a license on Dec. 30.
According to the affidavit, Cameron RidesTheHorse was spotted by WGFD officials walking up to a roadway from a creek bottom in the Dayton area. RidesTheHorse allegedly had blood on his pants and told officials that he had been hunting earlier on the reservation.
Officials attempted to detain RidesTheHorse. He resisted.
While the wardens waited for additional law enforcement, RidesTheHorse allegedly said that he had seen an injured deer walk across the road and was exploring the creek bottom to find it.
Later, when Game Warden Dustin Shorma arrived, RidesTheHorse reportedly admitted to shooting the deer from the road.
According to the affidavit, when wardens informed RidesTheHorse that he was under arrest, he resisted a second time as he was being handcuffed.
RidesTheHorse is next scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.
