James McCue, 85, passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, of natural causes.
James was born April 20, 1933, to Aurist and Helen McCue in Gillette, Wyoming. He met Docia Connally in high school and they were married in 1952. They had two daughters, Kay Haberstroh and Peggy Fleck; and a son, James McCue.
James worked as a plumber at Powder River Heating and Air and also a rancher for the remaining years in Gillette, Wyoming. He retired and moved permanently to his ranch outside of Gillette in 2002. He enjoyed his family, friends, grandkids, great-grandkids, and anything ranch related.
He was the most devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Docia McCue of Gillette, Wyoming; his sister, Thelma Dexter; daughters, Kay and Richard Haberstroh of Gillette, Wyoming; Peggy and Don Fleck of Rapid City, South Dakota; son, James and Lisa McCue of Gillette Wyoming; granddaughters, Kylie Medina of Arvada, Colorado; Michelle Vinatieri of Las Vegas, Nevada; Cori McKenney of Gillette, Wyoming; Heather Heth of Lusk, Wyoming; three great-granddaughters; and six great-grandsons.
