The latest affordable housing statistics are in from the Wyoming Business Council and Campbell County ranks 13 out of 23 counties when it comes to affordable housing, with residents spending more than half their income on housing and 31-to-50 percent of their income.
This study defines affordable housing as paying 30 percent or less on a mortgage or rent and is just a snapshot of the current housing market.

The study also points out that an estimated 4,408 people commute to Campbell County for work, which could indicate there’s a lack of appropriate housing for those commuters.
The average housing age in Campbell County is 28, compared with 42 statewide. Only 26.4 percent of houses locally were built before 1980.
