My name is Chad Trebby, and I have lived in Gillette for 16 years. I am originally from east central Minnesota, where I attended Princeton High School. After graduating, I joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD. While stationed there, I volunteered my limited off duty time to work as a reserve deputy for the Pennington County Sheriffs Office. When I left the Air Force, I was offered a position with the Gillette Police Department, where I worked for over 10 years.
In 2012, I took on a new position with the Northern Wyoming Community College District Police Department as the first full-time police officer on the Gillette College Campus. In addition to my full-time responsibilities at the college, I teach firearms courses for the criminal justice program.
I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. I also enjoy community events, traveling for competitive triathlons, and spending time with my family.
Recently, I became interested in getting more involved in our community and finding other ways to serve. This led me to politics. After some candid discussions with close friends and family, and a growing concern with the current political environment, I decided that now is the time to run for election.
