The Wyoming Highway Patrol just add 11 new Troopers to patrol the state’s highways. The Troopers were sworn in yesterday in Cheyenne at the Wyoming Supreme Court in front of friends and family.
Known as the “Guardians of the Cowboy State,” these Wyoming Highway Patrol Class 95 recruits have been through over 1,200 hours of training at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas. Different areas of instruction included: firearms, custody and control, crash investigation, and emergency vehicle operations.
The new Troopers will each be stationed in a different area of the state including Casper, Douglas, Cheyenne and Laramie, just to name a few.
