Friday, Oct. 26

Veterans Dinner

The 411: Pot roast, mashed potato, and gravy dinner catered by Gillette College Student Veterans Association and the National Leadership of Society and Success to support travel to SVA convention in Orlando.

When:  6:00 p.m.

Where: American Legion, 200 Rockpile Blvd

Cost: $10 per person, $5 for kids under 12

 

The Artist Connection Pick and Paint Pottery

The 411: Pick one – Scarecrow with Jack-O-Lantern or Pumpkin tea light holder. BYOB. Free chili dinner.

When:  6:30 p.m.

Where: The Artist Connection, 709 W. Eighth St.

Cost: $25

 

Haunted House

The Lowdown: Head on over to Jack and Zero Skellington’s 2nd Annual Haunted House. They say “enter at your own risk” and warn that this might be too scary for some….if you’re chicken.

When: 7 p.m.

Where: 100 East Walnut St.

Cost: Free admission, tips and donations welcome

 

Gillette Community Theater

The 411: Sherlock Holmes and the Doom of Devilsmoor

Show times: Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., Oct. 27 at 2 and 7 p.m., Nov. 2 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Nov. 3 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Where: Gillette Community Theatre, 222 S. Gillette Avenue

33rd Annual Charity Chili Cook-Off

The 411: Taste-test a variety of red and green chili and vote for your favorite. Laser tag all day. Performances by Live 2 Dance and Just Gotta Dance

When: Doors Open at 2:30 p.m.

Where: Cam-Plex Central Pavilion

Cost: Adults – $10, Children – $5

 

4th Annual Main Street Boo-Fest

The 411: Tons of FREE family activities, food, games, candy, costume contest for kids, adults, and pets, pet parade, pumpkin pie contest, wagon rides, and the pumpkin drop including pumpkin pinatas!

When: Noon – 3 p.m.

Where: Gillette Avenue

Cost: FREE

 

Pet Costume Contest

The 411: Contestants are encouraged to have fun, and be creative—in fact, pet owners are encouraged to join in, as well. All pets are welcome to participate. However, please be aware of how your pet acts in a crowd and with other animals.  Registration is between 11 and 11:25 a.m. The contest begins down the “scarewalk” at 11:30 a.m. Winners will be announced immediately after.  The event is sponsored by Fur Kids Foundation, Petco, and GARF.

When: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Where: Petco

Cost: $5 to enter

 

Rx Take Back Event

The 411: This event provides an opportunity for community members to properly dispose of medications and rid homes of potential hazards! Rumor has it, Students 4 Change zombies will make an appearance at 10 a.m.

When: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, 600 W. Boxelder Road

Cost: FREE
