National Leaders will Gather in Gillette Next Week to Strengthen Wyoming’s Economy

Governor Matt Mead will be in Gillette Monday, Oct. 8, to give the opening remarks at a free, nationwide forum scheduled at Cam-Plex. Campbell County and the National Association of Counties are teaming up to present Strengthening Economies in Wyoming: A Forum for Coal-Reliant Communities.

The forum is open to anyone and will bring together public and private stakeholders to share best practices and experience in support of economic diversification. In addition to Mead, other speakers include Wyoming Infrastructure Authority Executive Director Jason Begger, Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Anne Hazlett, and Campbell County Commission Chairman Mark Christensen.
