(Gillette, Wyo.) Campbell County Health (CCH) Rehabilitation Services is pleased to announce a Faces of Traumatic Brain Injury presentation by survivor and award-winning author Amy Zellmer at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Gillette College Health Science Education Center, 3801 College Drive in Gillette, Wyoming.
In February of 2014, Amy slipped on a patch of ice, landing full-force on the back of her skull. She believes that the healing process begins with the telling of your story. On Monday, she will speak about her journey through the murky waters of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and discuss the seriousness of brain injury and concussion using humor and grace.
Join Amy as she shares her story of recovery and provides you with ways to help support a loved one dealing with this invisible and often misunderstood injury. You’ll gain insights into a life that even doctors don’t fully understand.
The presentation is free and recommended for anyone with a TBI or anyone caring for or supporting someone with TBI.
