(Gillette, Wyo.) Two Montana women were arrested over the weekend on drug charges stemming from a prostitution investigation by local officers.
According to Gillette Police Lt. Brent Wasson, a 40-year-old male reported that he was approached by two women while at the bar at Sapporos Restaurant Saturday evening.
“The 40-year-old man agreed to have sex with the two females for $400,” said Wasson. “The three went to a room at the Ramada Inn.”
Once in the room, the male went into the bathroom of the room and encountered a 25-year-old male he recognized. When the male exited the bathroom, the two women had left with the cash.
The 25-year-old then called the females and told them they needed to return the money since he knew the 40-year-old. The two females returned to the room, but refused to give back the money. They also threatened to spray the older man with pepper spray.
He then left the room and notified the police department.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., officers contacted a 30-year-old female and a 26-year-old female as they were exiting a vehicle belonging to the younger woman in the same area of the restaurant. Police discovered the 30-year-old woman, who was driving, has a suspended driver’s license.
Wasson said she also admitted to having a syringe containing liquid methamphetamine in her purse. The 30-year-old was detained while officers searched the vehicle. Along with the syringe, officers located crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and other paraphernalia.
Both females also admitted to using meth the previous night. Both were arrested and held for court.
The 30-year-old faces charges of possession of liquid and crystal methamphetamine, and marijuana, use of meth, and driving with a suspended license.
The 26-yearold was charged with possession of crystal meth and marijuana and use of meth.
Wasson said more charges could result from the prostitution investigation.
