The City of Gillette would like to remind everyone that the use of fireworks within City limits is not allowed.
Chapter 14-9 of the City Code states that:
“no person shall, discharge, explode or fire or cause to be discharged, exploded or fired within the city any firecracker, Roman candle, sky rocket, torpedo or other combustible fireworks or other like explosives.”
This ordinance has been in effect in the City of Gillette since 1948. The City of Gillette politely asks that residents refrain from discharging fireworks within City limits.
Please have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.
