City Announces Landscape Beautification Award

Nominate a business, institution, civic group, or non-profit in one of three categories.

The City of Gillette Parks and Beautification Board has a new Landscape Beautification Award. Nominations may come from anyone, and self-nominations are even encouraged. Winners for the months of June, July, August, and September will be based on nominations received.

This award has three categories:

  1. Most Beautiful
  2. Go Green
  3. Most Improved

Monthly Most Beautiful Award-Winners will be featured in local media outlets, and receive a sign to display. From the five monthly winners, one grand prize winner will be selected to receive a traveling trophy for the year.

Go Green Awards, which honor those who have made sustainability a key feature of their landscape design (think water-wise gardening techniques, use of native plants, and low-impact development practices, etc.), are also vying for a sign to display on their property or at their place of business, and featured on local outlets.

Most Improved winners will each receive $500 in Gillette Gold Bucks to be used towards future landscaping improvements.

To be eligible for this award in any category, the landscape must be located with the City of Gillette and meet current code and landscaping regulations.
