(Gillette, Wyo.) Here in Gillette, we’ve seen our fair share of snow these past few months. Nevertheless, it’s been pretty mild in terms of snow, compared to Story, Wyoming.
It turns out that the little town of Story, nestled securely in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains between Buffalo and Sheridan, was named one of the snowiest cities in spring throughout the country, according to Only in Your State.
The website reports that the little Wyoming town — with a population just over 800 — can receive as much snow in the springtime alone as some places in the rest of the country get the entire year.
On average, Story receives an average of 53.7 inches of snow in the spring.
