Man Makes Terroristic Threats, Police Currently Investigating
(Gillette, Wyo.) Police received a disturbing call this weekend where an unidentified man threatened to detonate multiple explosive devices if his demands weren’t met.
Police Detective Jason Marcus said that the call came in at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11.
The man, claiming to be part of an unspecified terrorist organization, demanded that police bring someone to his residence and perform sexual acts, according to Marcus.
“The male was talking nonsensical,” Marcus stated.
Officers did respond to the residence but the male refused to answer the door and shouted profanities at them.
The male was instructed to stop calling the police department and officers left the residence without charging him.
In a follow up interview, Marcus said that the man did not face any charges as officers did not percieve the threat as credible, based on the nature of his demands.
Marcus said the man was very vague and did not specify what terrorist organization he claimed to be a part of nor did he specify where the supposed explosive devices were located.
But even though the threat did not seem credible, it is nevertheless being taken seriously by police.
Marcus said he expects more to be done as the case unfolds and that officers are going to be contacting the male again sometime in the future.
The investigation is ongoing.
