(Gillette, Wyo.) The Trash-a-Thon Community Cleanup starts tomorrow morning, and the city could use some help cleaning up around town.
Sawley Wilde, Gillette public works director, said they’ve gotten some calls about volunteering, as has the Park Board, and they’re hoping for a good turnout. However, it could be a grey morning.
“The Park Board is concerned about the forecast,” Wilde said.
After so much planning and effort to put together the event, the board decided it would be best not to cancel.
The Trash-a-Thon is a great way to give back to the community. For just a few hours on a Saturday morning, you can do something good for Gillette.
Come out to the Pat Mueller shelter by 9 a.m. to pick up free trash bags, gloves, and pickers. Then just head out and find some litter to collect.
This event is sponsored by the City of Gillette Parks and Beautification Board.
