(Gillette, Wyo.) The deadline for submissions for the City of Gillette’s Summer Parks Photo Contest is Friday.
There are three categories for photos: general, nature and wildlife, and Adopt-a-Planter.
The photos in the general and wildlife category must be taken within the city limits and depict parks within the city, but the Adopt-a-Planter category only need be of a planter within that program.
The submissions will be judged by, among others, Mayor Louise Carter-King, another member of the council, and two members from the Parks and Beautification Board. An online voting poll will also be available for the residents of Gillette to choose their favorite.
The photos will be judged without any identifying information of the photographer.
In addition to Gold Bucks for the first and second place winners, the photographers with the best photos may also be displayed in a special exhibit at city hall and on the city’s website.
For complete rules and information, see the city’s website.
