(Gillette, Wyo.) At approximately 7:15 p.m. yesterday, June 29th, the Gillette Police Department received a report that an unknown woman had intentionally crashed her vehicle into another vehicle, a Jeep driven by a 41-year-old male.
According to one report, the woman had been chasing the male for some time, for reasons that remain unknown. In a separate report, a witness said that the woman had made 4 failed attempts to crash her vehicle into the man’s Jeep, including one at the corner of Boxelder Rd. and Wagonhammer Ln. The witness, who remains anonymous, told authorities that the female, during one of her crash attempts, had driven her vehicle through plants and a planter at a physical therapy office on Boxelder Rd., and the woman did not stop, but continued in her pursuit of the male.
The woman, who eventually succeeded in catching up with the male and intentionally caused a head on collision near Old Chicago, fled the scene on foot. GPD officers contacted the Campbell County Sheriff’s office for support and Sheriff’s deputies quickly set up a perimeter utilizing a K-9 unit.
Law enforcement officers were unable to locate and apprehend the female, whose identity and whereabouts remain unknown. She was last seen fleeing towards Home Depot. When found, the woman will face charges of aggravated assault, reckless driving, no ignition interlock device, and leaving the scene of an accident. No injuries have been reported.
