(Gillette, Wyo.) Get ready for the best free music event of the year, the Donkey Creek Festival (DCF) is just around the corner. For those who don’t know or have never heard of the DCF, let us fill you in.
DCF started back in 2006, consisting of only one band and around 50 people as the audience. By 2011, the festival had grown exponentially to a three-day event featuring two and a half days filled with performances from nationally recognized musicians. The crowd had grown from just 50 people, to over a thousand relaxing on the grass of Gillette College and enjoying the food, artist booths and various activities.
This year, DCF welcomes bands like the Big Horn Big Band, Freddy Rodriquez, Jake Edwards, Brand 307, and many others including emerging local band The Unknown Knowns!
In addition to the music performances, The Fest will include events like: a quick draw competition from Avenues of Art, laser tag at the Gillette College Tech Center, Glow run, a Car and Motorcycle show, and much more!
So come on down to Gillette College this weekend and enjoy this 2 day event that’s suitable for all ages! And the best part? It’s free.
