Wildflour Bakery

Wildflour Bakery | GCC Airport | Restaurant – Bakery – Caterer
It’s called a bakery… but those are some dang good tacos!

Trust me… they only look innocent
Tara Bernard, a wildflour in her own right, opened her dream bakery in the Gillette-Campbell County Airport terminal in order to run the business in-between her shifts. Located on the east side of the terminal, Wildflour Bakery boasts a unique atmosphere with large windows and plenty of natural light to grace the dining area.

h/t Tara, who totally took this photo – not me.
The setting often consists of customers who range from locals, hungry travelers, or businessmen utilizing their time to juggle lunch with work.

Look ma, it’s me!
How many of us take the time to cook a handmade meal every night? Ain’t nobody got time for that…except for Tara. Having learned how to bake from her mom and grandma as a young child, Tara knows the value of real, homemade food. She strives to make everything from scratch, excluding only a few fried items, which she plans to phase out for handmade substitutes in the near future. The fact that she wants to “86” her few frozen fry-foods for even more handmade alternatives? That’s a HUGE deal. I mean HUGE.
Speaking of made-from-scratch, here’s a lovely photo of some soon-to-be Chili Verde:

The mean, green, chili verde baking sheet
Although baking is Tara’s primary passion, she has included in Wildflour’s menu a healthy variety of breakfast and lunch items alongside her fresh baked goods.

A chalkboard menu, I’m diggin’ it!
While I’m at it, let’s just take a look at some of these baked good-goods:

Gluten-free, mini-blueberry, coconut-lime scones.. That’s a mouthful! Literally…

Walnut Brown Butter Brownies a.k.a. Chocoholic-friendly food

This custom cake is so beautiful I could cry…
Weekly specials, announced Monday mornings, and other updates can be found on the Wildflour Facebook Page. The bakery is open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Special orders and catering services can be made available by calling 307-363-3538.
P.S. – I personally recommend the taco tray. $25 for 15 tacos. Getcha some.

No honey, I didn’t order tacos for dinner tonight. Again.
